The Historic Hawaiian Flag
The historic Hawaiian flag preserved through generational custodianship within the lineage of the Aliʻi Nui. Kingdom records present this artifact as material evidence of the continuity of Polynesian sovereignty and of the chain of authority it maintains; independent corroboration of the chain of custody has not yet been located in this archive. The flag predates the illegal overthrow of 1893 and has been maintained in ceremonial use through successive generations.
